Dear Conference Participants,
As President of Gyeongsang National University, I am delighted that we are co-hosting the 22nd Seoul International Conference on Generative Grammar at our university from August 12 through August 14, 2020. Understandably, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s conference is held mainly as a virtual conference, however.
Gyeongsang National University wishes to extend you a warm welcome and thanks for your attendance at this virtual conference, whether it be as invited speakers, paper presenters, attendees, moderators, or conference organizers. I also express my deep gratitude to the Center for Area Studies at Gyeongsang National University and the Korean Generative Grammar Circle for making efforts to host this conference successfully.
The theme of SICOGG 22 is ‘The Syntax-Pragmatics Interface in Generative Grammar’. I hear that the conference will offer the participants a wide range of insightful and interesting topics, with oral presentations, poster sessions, and workshops. The conference will be an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the latest issues in generative grammar. During this conference I hope you have many opportunities to share your knowledge and experience with participants from other countries and to establish new initiatives in generative grammar across the world.
Once again, our wish is that the 22nd Seoul International Conference on Generative Grammar will be a very successful, wonderful, and enjoyable conference.
